hi there
I have installed the latest lightbox on the latest e107 and everything went pretty fine - regarding the installation. Im able to configure things, when creating news a smooth popup comes up, allowing me to upload several images and it runs pretty fine. up to the point I placed news on my site and want them to have the lightbox effect aswell. there is a test news thread called 'test' on the 2nd position and it has comments availible. the weird thing is, as I am creating the news in the admin section, make a preview and click on the image, it works just fine. also, if you click on the comments and then click the image it works fine aswell. but it does not work right at the front site - altough I cant explain myself why.

help would be much appreciated...
thank you

1. Your page size (kb) is too big - it loads forever. If you wish to use lightbox without problems keep your pages smaller. Lightbox effects works only when the page is fully loaded.
2. Not sure, I think your image is also broken. Try with other image (e.g. core e107 image logo)
Please keep me informed if the problem is not solved.

1. yep theres a lot to load and even if the page is fully loaded, it still doesnt work.
2. I can select any image I want. I get the lightbox popup when creating news and select any image from the newsimage directory just for testing purposes. nothing I changed, the problem still remains unsolved :(

copy (overwrite) from src/js/source/prototype.js to src/js/ then test again. I'm pretty sure this will not solve the problem... Tell me your e107 version. (CVS?)

you were right, that didnt solve the problem. even worse: I am now not able to get the lightbox popup when creating news and previewing them, or commenting on that picture...
I have the latest stable e107 -> 0.7.8

You have now a lot of JS errors. My suggestion - uninstall Lightbox, delete it from the plugin directory, upload it again and make install fresh install. You can also check it with File inspector for errors.

okay I uninstalled and removed all files from the plugin directory that were left. I downloaded lightbox 1.4 again, uploaded it through the plugin manager upload interface and installed it. no settings changed, everything in the exact same state as it was installed. I checked the fresh install with the file inspector and the only thing I could find out with that lousy tool is that those files are non core files ... I even tried to switch themes and always got the same problems... on my main site Im not able to get the lightbox effect running. on commenting it works again.... plus its very weird. I installed the gallery aswell and set up a test album and uploaded random images and those are displayed correctly with the lightbox interface. see for yourself by clicking on the gallery link on top ...
UPDATE there's a weird thing happening. I usually use firefox browsing the web but if you try opening the image on the frontpage with IE it works perfectly .... WHAT THE HELL??

What I'm saying the problem is not in the plguin nor in FF. IT WORKS in FF. There are lot of people using this plugin without problem. So get rid of all stuff on your front page and publish only 1 news item with lightbox image. Alternatively make new (local) install and try again. It could be HTML error, and/or video embeds on your page. You could also make some test with switching to not modified core theme.
