when i try to upload a image, the gallery says filetype not allowed(jpg)
but jpg is allowed in filetypes.php
does someone knows how to fix it?

Hm, did you rename filetypes_.php to filetypes.php ?

yes, i removed the underscore but still jpg isn't allowed, gif work just fine, but I can't see the images, it says that they are uploaded but i just see the standerd image of the gallery and when i click on it it opens a new window with the same image in it and not the image i uploaded.

jpg upload works fine for me. Re-check the filetype.php content (comma separated list). You can also add jpeg extesnsion.
About thumbs problem - go to includes/phpthumb.config.php and search for disable_debug var. Set it false. You should see now debug information. Post it here.

Hi i have the same problem with the filetype at the user uploadarea.
But only with the IE6 Browser, under Firefox all work fine. IE7 i dont have so i could not test it there.
I have try it with different theme, all the same error at IE6.
I have e107 v078 clean instl. and sgallery1.1 -> than update to RC2.
I hope i help a little bit
