I extracted the beam widget into the widgets folder using Filezilla.

I'm using the Blue City theme and I know it isn't on the "compatible" list though I thought maybe it was just too new.

Okay, so long story short, when I look at the admin panel on the widgets screen, it doesn't show the beam widget at all.
