Hi. CLGallery comes with the neet "Windows Publish Wissard" opportunity for batch-uploading pictures. Any suggestion on how to do this in linux? Do you know any programs that could make use of the "gallery-install.reg"-file? A lot of Linux graphic programs have the possibility to upload albums to Gallery2. Would it be possible make use of this and implement this interface in further versions CLGallery?

Yes, I've just needed more information about related Linux tools. If these programs you've mentioned are using the same communication as Windows publish tool, it would be very easy to make them working with CL Gallery. Could you please give me some more information in this direction?

Well. A fearly good image management program for KDE Linux is ShowImg, but F-Spot an Digicam and several other are popular. They have in common that they can export to Flicr, Gallery and Gallery2. When these programs export to Gallery, they simulate the Gallery-remote program. Gallry-remote is a standalone program written to ease the export of large amounts of images to the stand-alone Gallery and Gallery2. I belive this interface is fearly simple code. The user interface is not very different from Publish Wizard, but I would guess they have complete different ways of comunication. It comes in Windows, Linux and Mac versions, but at least several linux programs simulate it. The gallery project is open-source and info about the Gallery-remote protocol can be found here.
I guess the easiest approach makeing an interface to export images to clgallery would be to exploit the Gallery-remote code because the client software is already there for the three major platforms. jobar

Could you assist me in testing when I start it as a new CL Gallery feature.

I'd rather create SOAP based protocol - as I see it's in TO DO list of G2 developers. I'm starting to gather information first.

Hi SecretR Have you looked in to batch-uploading in Linux yet? Tell me if you need testing ;)

Sorry mate, lack of time. I'm working on a huge e107 project. I'm planning to release major version (2.1) (somewhere) at the beginning of 2008 :)
