HI! First of all I have to say that this gallery is the best I have ever seen for e107. Now I try to explain the problem that I have. When I try to upload an image that have a different proportion compared to the resize value or is too small, it appears inside a background. I don't want this background but if i don't resize the biggest images they will appear too big to be displayed inside the screen. Is there a possibility to resize only the biggest images but without creating a background arount them? Is there an existing solution? I need max size 640 x 480 whitout border. Help me please...

If you are uploading images with commensurable dimensions e.g. 1600x1200 this should never happen. Another thing is - disable FAR (force aspect ration) from gallery administration - settings. Now phpThumb will try to resize your pictures as close to the given proportions as possible (with no background).

I try different solution:
Image Settings: Image Auto-resize active User albums resize settings: nothing selected --> in Upload Form appears only no resize and when I upload an image appears an error: "Error(s) detected:" no image can be approved by admin
Image Settings: nothing selected User albums resize settings: auto-resize selected --> in Upload Form appears both no resize and auto-resize and when I upload an image with auto-resize everything is perfect.
now I need only auto-resize in the form because it is the only solution to post an image without error. Is possible? I don't want that users can select different ways to send their images.
Have you a solution?

General settings (admins only) are totally separate from user settings because I'm planning to implement admin permission levels. And yes, you are right - I've missed the logic you've just mentioned. I thought it's enough to "restrict" the user's picture dimensions, but in this case FAR option is auto-enabled. I'll add one more setting in user admin area for the next release - enable | disable no resize option for user upload.
