I'm very new to the whole Gallery/Lightbox thing ... in fact most of this e107 thing is new to me.

Can someone please explain (in layman's terms) to me how to get pictures working with news posts, so that it shows a thumbnail in the news post and expands (using lightbox) when someone clicks on it?

you have thumb and lightbox buttons when you create news or post some comments.

if you don't want to use them -

[ ; lightbox=image_url|image_title|image_goup|image_float]image link[ ; /lightbox]

for lightbox, and

[ ; thumb=width,height,far|image_title|image_group|image_float]image link[ ; /thumb]

for thumb bb code

Just remove all ';' from the code above. And as I mentioned in your other post - upgrade to 2.04

EDIT: Cool ... I have SOMETHING working, and I've done some experimenting. I'm note entirely sure what values should be in the far and image_float variables though. Could you explain those a bit more?
