You can consider the new option at our site as a demo/test of Corllete Lab Gallery (currently installed version is 2.0 RC4). The members of this site have permissions to create up to 3 albums and limit of 2mb total filesize. You are able to test all new user's functionality of the gallery and provide a feedback (use our forums).
I think the most interesting part for all XP users would be the Windows XP Publish upload option (read more on the album's edit screen) The design of the Gallery plugin on this site is also beta (I'm not using the default plugin's templates here) - you'll see some strange rendering issues with IE6. Browsing with Firefox and Safari should be OK.
